50 published prices for ED treatment across 13 programs, each read on the program's own page and dated. The newest check was October 31, 2026. A price with a required fee left out is marked and never used as a headline figure.
Five criteria, published
Price 30%, transparency 25%, care 20%, access 15% and reputation 10%, each scored 0 to 10 on written rules. Commission is not a criterion, and the order is the same whether a program pays us or not.
The safety record, searched
We searched FDA warning letters for all 13 programs (4 on record), checked each site for a LegitScript seal ID (8 show one) and searched FTC actions and lawsuits. Every plan says whether it is FDA-approved or compounded.
Is it safe and legit? The record, checked
Generic sildenafil and tadalafil tablets are FDA-approved. Chews, mints, sublingual tablets and multi-drug formulas are compounded by a pharmacy and are not, and in September 2025 the FDA warned BlueChew that its claims implied otherwise. Outside licensed programs, the FDA keeps finding sildenafil and tadalafil hidden in 'natural' enhancement products.

ED treatment: questions people ask
Prices in these answers are computed from the same data as the table, so they change when a price does.
How much does ED treatment cost online in October 2026?
As of October 31, 2026, generic sildenafil costs from $0.22 a tablet at Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company with your own prescription, and from $1.60 a dose at Strut Health, an online program that prescribes it. Every price is read on the program's own page, with the date we read it.
Which ED treatment program do you rank first?
Ro, at 9.2/10 on our five published criteria (price 30%, transparency 25%, care 20%, access 15%, reputation 10%). Its price here: $4 per dose (Generic sildenafil 25 mg, 8 doses a month). Commission never changes the order.
Is it cheaper with your own prescription?
For the drug alone, usually yes: Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company lists Generic tadalafil 5 mg, 30 tablets at $5.97 ($0.20 a tablet) when we checked on October 31, 2026. Plus $5.25 standard shipping per order; needs a prescription from your own clinician. The program prices include the online visit and delivery, which a cash pharmacy does not.
Is generic sildenafil the same as Viagra?
Yes, as a drug: generic sildenafil tablets are FDA-approved as the same active ingredient as Viagra. A chew, mint or sublingual tablet that contains sildenafil is a compounded product, which is not FDA-approved. Every plan on this page says which it is.
Do I need a prescription to buy ED pills online?
Yes. Sildenafil and tadalafil are prescription drugs. Every program on this page has a licensed clinician review your answers before prescribing; a site that sells them with no prescription is the first warning sign on the FDA's BeSafeRx list.
Can the prescription go to my own pharmacy?
Some programs say they can send it to a pharmacy you choose, where a cash price or your insurance may be cheaper. Each review quotes the program's own words on this.
Does insurance cover ED medication?
Rarely through these programs: almost all are cash only. Medicare Part D plans are barred by law from covering ED drugs when they are prescribed for ED.
