31 published prices for testosterone treatment across 11 programs, each read on the program's own page and dated. The newest check was October 31, 2026. A price with a required fee left out is marked and never used as a headline figure.
Five criteria, published
Price 30%, transparency 25%, care 20%, access 15% and reputation 10%, each scored 0 to 10 on written rules. Commission is not a criterion, and the order is the same whether a program pays us or not.
The safety record, searched
We searched FDA warning letters for all 11 programs (2 on record), checked each site for a LegitScript seal ID (4 show one) and searched FTC actions and lawsuits. Every plan says whether it is FDA-approved or compounded.
Is it safe and legit? The record, checked
Testosterone is a federally controlled substance and every program here asks for lab work before or with the first prescription. Generic testosterone cypionate and Kyzatrex capsules are FDA-approved products; compounded creams, troches and injections are not, and no enclomiphene product is FDA-approved. Rugiet and Maximus say on their own pages that theirs is compounded; each plan below says what is stated.

Testosterone treatment: questions people ask
Prices in these answers are computed from the same data as the table, so they change when a price does.
How much does testosterone treatment cost online in October 2026?
As of October 31, 2026, testosterone therapy costs from $129/mo all in at Henry Meds (Compounded testosterone (cream, pill or injection)), and the median across the 3 priced plans we track is $179/mo. Every price is read on the program's own page, with the date we read it.
Which testosterone treatment program do you rank first?
Rex MD, at 9.1/10 on our five published criteria (price 30%, transparency 25%, care 20%, access 15%, reputation 10%). Its price here: $250/mo plus required fees (Testosterone Program (cypionate, gel or Clomid), monthly subscription with quarterly shipments; $250 to $299 a month depending on the medication). Commission never changes the order.
Should I get my testosterone tested before starting TRT?
Yes. Testosterone products are approved for clinically confirmed low testosterone: Hims's own page notes that testosterone cypionate 'is FDA-approved for clinically confirmed low testosterone (hypogonadism)'. Every program we list asks for blood work before or with the first prescription, and some charge for it separately (PeterMD requires recent free and total testosterone and PSA results; Taurus, Rugiet and Rex MD charge a first lab fee). If you only want to know your level first, our men's lab tests page prices the panels these programs sell.
TRT or enclomiphene: what is the difference?
TRT adds testosterone from outside the body. Enclomiphene and clomiphene are pills that signal your own body to make more. The testosterone cypionate label warns that large doses of testosterone from outside the body can suppress sperm production, which is why some men ask about the pills instead. Clomiphene is FDA-approved, for women's fertility, and is prescribed off-label for men; no enclomiphene product is FDA-approved, and Rugiet and Maximus say theirs is compounded. Which suits you is a question for the clinician who reads your labs; we list the prices.
Can one membership cover TRT and ED or hair loss treatment?
Not that any program we track says in writing. Several sell testosterone and ED or hair loss treatment under one account, but price each separately: Hims, Maximus, Hone Health, PeterMD, Rex MD, Rugiet, MangoRx and Henry Meds. Hone's Premium membership is described as covering 'everything Hone offers', yet its ED and hair loss medications are still priced on top of a membership. Two products combine testosterone support with an ED drug in one prescription: Hims's Testosterone Rx+ and Rugiet's Enclomiphene+, both with tadalafil.
Why is the cheapest price on this page not the 'from' price?
Because many testosterone prices leave out a required membership, the first lab or the first visit. Those plans are listed and marked 'plus required fees', but only a price you can actually pay as shown is used as a headline figure.
