No pill is FDA-approved for premature ejaculation. What online programs sell instead (off-label sertraline, compounded combos, numbing wipes) and what each costs.

What the online programs sell for PE falls into three groups, and they are very different products: an antidepressant prescribed off-label, a compounded capsule that mixes an antidepressant with an ED drug, and an over-the-counter numbing product. This guide sets out what each one is, which are FDA-approved for anything, and the published price. We list prices only, never doses. The ranked list of PE programs is on our premature ejaculation page.
Every PE product we track, priced
Prices are quoted from each program's own page on October 31, 2026. "Off-label" means the drug is FDA-approved for something else and prescribed for PE.
| Product | Seller | What it is | FDA status | Published price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sertraline (generic Zoloft) | Ro | Antidepressant tablet, off-label for PE | FDA-approved, not for PE | $24 a month |
| Sertraline | Rex MD | Antidepressant tablet, off-label for PE | FDA-approved, not for PE | Not shown on the page |
| Medication for PE (not named) | Lemonaid Health | Prescription pill | Not stated | $1 a pill, plus a one-time consult |
| Sex Rx + Climax Control | Hims | Combination product, ingredients not shown on the page | Compounded | $39 a month |
| ParoxetineRx | Strut Health | Capsule combining paroxetine with tadalafil, and more in its Max tiers | Compounded | $49 a month |
| Go Long | Rugiet | Paroxetine plus tadalafil | Compounded | Shown only inside the intake |
| Roman Swipes | Ro | Benzocaine wipes | Over the counter | $27 monthly, $22 a month on the popular plan |
| Sildenafil, listed under PE | Ro | ED tablet sold on the PE page | FDA-approved for ED | $2 a dose |
Every price and its source page is also on our PE price page, which re-sorts when a price changes.
Off-label sertraline: the cheapest prescription route
Sertraline is the generic of Zoloft, an antidepressant. Its FDA label lists what it is approved for: "ZOLOFT is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) indicated for the treatment of" major depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, PTSD, social anxiety disorder and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (DailyMed: Zoloft label). Premature ejaculation is not on that list, so a PE prescription is off-label.
Off-label prescribing is legal and common. Lemonaid explains why programs do it: "Certain antidepressants have the side effect of delaying orgasm." (Lemonaid Health) The label's warnings still apply in full. Its boxed warning reads: "Antidepressants increased the risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors in pediatric and young adult patients" (DailyMed: Zoloft label). A real program screens for mood, other antidepressants and other medicines before it prescribes. How much and how often is the prescriber's call; we do not give doses.
Price: Ro's sertraline plan is $24 a month with the visit included, the lowest all-in PE price we found. The generic itself is cheap at any pharmacy if you already have a prescription.

Compounded combinations: an SSRI and an ED drug in one
Hims, Strut and Rugiet sell PE products that combine drugs into one capsule or tablet. Strut is open about what its ParoxetineRx contains: "Provider-prescribed compounded capsules combining Paroxetine, an SSRI, along with ED ingredients." Its footnote adds: "Compounded drug products are not approved or evaluated for safety, effectiveness, or quality by the FDA." (Strut Health ParoxetineRx)
Hims's PE page carries the same kind of notice: "The featured products include compounded products which have not been approved by the FDA." (Hims PE page) The ingredients of Sex Rx + Climax Control were not shown on the page we read.
What this means for you: each ingredient may be an approved drug on its own, but the combination has no FDA review of how well it works or how consistently it is made. These products cost more than plain sertraline. They make most sense for men who want ED and PE treatment in one product and accept that it is compounded.
Over-the-counter numbing products
Benzocaine and lidocaine sprays, wipes and creams are sold without a prescription under an FDA over-the-counter rule for "male genital desensitizers". The rule allows labels to say the product "Helps in the prevention of premature ejaculation." or that it is "For temporary male genital desensitization, helping to slow the onset of ejaculation." (21 CFR Part 348, eCFR)
Ro sells benzocaine wipes as Roman Swipes, priced in the table above. Because these are over-the-counter products, no online visit is needed, and pharmacies stock similar sprays.
Which route costs least
- Already see a doctor? Ask about PE at that visit. A generic sertraline prescription filled at a cash pharmacy is usually the cheapest route.
- Want it online? Ro's sertraline plan at $24 a month is the lowest all-in price we track.
- Want ED and PE treatment together? The compounded combinations from Hims and Strut do both, at a higher monthly price and without FDA approval of the product.
- Want to avoid a prescription? An over-the-counter numbing product is the only legal option; Ro's wipes are priced in the table above.

Questions
FAQ
What do premature ejaculation pills cost online?
Off-label generic sertraline costs $24 a month at Ro with the visit included, the lowest all-in PE price we track. Compounded combination products cost more: $39 a month at Hims and $49 at Strut. Lemonaid quotes $1 a pill plus a one-time consult. Rugiet shows prices only inside its intake.
Is there an FDA-approved pill for premature ejaculation?
No. The FDA has not approved any oral medication for PE in the US. Programs prescribe antidepressants such as sertraline off-label, or sell compounded combinations. Only over-the-counter numbing products such as benzocaine and lidocaine sprays or wipes are covered by an FDA rule that allows a premature ejaculation claim on the label.
Is sertraline for premature ejaculation safe?
Sertraline is an FDA-approved antidepressant, and its label lists warnings, including a boxed warning on suicidal thoughts in young adults and risks when combined with some other medicines. Using it for PE is off-label. A licensed prescriber should review your history before prescribing; we do not give doses or schedules.
What is Hims Climax Control?
Hims sells Sex Rx + Climax Control on its premature ejaculation page from $39 a month. Hims labels the featured products on that page as including compounded products not approved by the FDA, and the ingredients were not shown on the page we read. Ask Hims for the full ingredient list before you order.
Does Ro treat premature ejaculation?
Yes. Ro's pricing page lists generic sertraline for PE at $24 a month, Roman Swipes benzocaine wipes as an over-the-counter option, and sildenafil on the same PE section. Ro says monthly PE shipments can be cancelled after one order. Its full plan list is in our Ro review.
Can I get premature ejaculation treatment online without a prescription?
Only the over-the-counter numbing products, such as benzocaine wipes or lidocaine sprays. Sertraline, paroxetine and every combination pill need a prescription from a licensed clinician. A site that ships those pills with no prescription is the first warning sign on the FDA's own list; see our [scam checker](/scam-checker). Every PE price, with its source, is on our [PE price page](/cost/pe).
